Hi Arpegio,

I've been searching for some of these recordings by the Ljubljana players under Anton Nanut (very much under-rated and under-appreciated) to download for a considerable period of time - and here they are. Thank you greatly. Very much appreciated.

However they all are at a very low resolution/bit rate - any possibility at higher quality such as 320 bits (FLAC), but not at 24-192(?) as this would take up too much memory? Would really appreciate it if you could.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Cheers,

Douglas (UK)

Hello Douglas. I just wanted to mention some remarkable recordings by Anton Nanut, paying some tribute to him. Sadly, i´ve got the same problem as yours, my files are low resolution, too. However, let´s check my shelf, if i have any CD by Nanut, i´ll share it in 320 mbps. Greetings.

Hi Arpegio,

Thank you for your most positive reply and apologies for taking such a long time to communicate with you - we have been enjoying ourselves on a walking holiday in Wales.

The recordings that I would really appreciate having 320 mbps copies of are the Mahler Symphony #4 with Cencic, the Rimsky-Korsakov Scheherazade and the Beethoven, Bruckner, Sibelius symphonies. Especially the Mahler symphony #4 - my CD copy of which is stuck in a CD music system, which I am rather loathed to break in order to get it out.

Do hope that you can find some of these in your music recording library.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Cheers,

Douglas (UK)

Dear Douglas, i´ll try to help you with that Mahler, at least. I´ll check my shelf out.

Hi again,

On a superficial perusal of my CDs I can find Nanut recordings of Bruckner 8, some Beethoven piano concertos with Dubrovka Tomsic, R-K Scheherazade, Bizet Symphony 1 and Suites, one or two Beethoven symphonies, Shostakovitch 7 - together with some lighter music.

No doubt Anton Nanut also masqueraded (not knowingly of course) under the names Alfred Scholz, Albert Lizzio, Alfred von Pitamic and numerous other fictitious monikers. Oh those were the interesting heady days of early cheap CDs which were flooding the classical music market.

I have just ordered 7 Nanut recordings from Amazon for one penny each (P & P extra naturally).

Consequently, on reflection, the CDs/music that I would love to hear are the Mahler 4, Sibelius 2 and the Gorecki 3. If you can find any of these recordings in your library and are kind enough to upload them - then I will be truly grateful.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Cheers,

Douglas (UK)
